The Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS has been around for many years. Introduced in 1958 to replace the Autavia, the Monte Carlo features a 12-hour numerical counter in a “window” at the bottom of the dial. Monte Carlo is built for one thing. Winning. With a racing-inspired design and DNA that comes straight from the track, you can bet you won't be seeing many tail lights. Best of all, Monte Carlo comes loaded with all the style and comfort you expect from Chevy. The first generation Monte was based on the Chevelle. There were 4 inches added to the frame in front of the fire wall and four more inches added in front of the front wheels. Finally we get to the new Monte Carlo. It looks a lot different form the original don't it. The 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Coupe is available in two models, LS and SS. The new 240 horsepower supercharged engine is available on the SS. A four-speed automatic transmission, lockout protection, remote keyless entry, a Passlock theft-deterrent system, LATCH anchors, and a message center are now standard features on both the LS and SS models. Leather-wrapped steering wheel, electronic cruise control, and the rear deck spoiler come as standard upgrades on the SS trim. Optional equipment includes an electric sunroof, a XM satellite radio, and Onstar communication. The LS Sport Appearance Package and the Competition Yellow Sport Appearance Package are available for the LS. The SS High Sport Appearance Package is available for the SS model. www.newcars.com/2003-Chevrolet-Monte-Carlo/
